Today is one such moment for Flemingo Routes.
Some stories become special not because they succeed overnight, but because of the journey behind them. The Malabar River Festival 2026 is one such story.
When I decided to cover the Malabar River Festival 2026, I knew the challenge ahead. Flemingo Routes was only a six-month-old travel website, built by one person, competing alongside well-established news organisations and media houses.
Still, I decided to try.
The Malabar River Festival is one of Kerala’s biggest adventure tourism events, bringing together international athletes, adventure enthusiasts, and the breathtaking landscapes of the Western Ghats.
My goal was not just to report the event. I wanted to document the complete journey—from the first announcements and pre-event updates to the festival itself, which will be held from 30 July to 2 August 2026.
To make the coverage more meaningful, I reached out to the Kerala Adventure Tourism Promotion Society (KATPS), the official organiser of the Malabar River Festival, requesting access to official photographs and press updates.
Honestly, it was just a try.
As a small travel website, I had no expectations. I knew I was reaching out alongside established media organisations, and I understood the chances of receiving permission were very small.
But every journey begins with a single step.
Instead of sending a routine request, I decided to write from the heart. Like every story published on Flemingo Routes, I shared my own story—why I started this website, what I wanted to achieve, and my passion for promoting Kerala’s travel experiences.
To my surprise, they gave me permission.
That moment reminded me that passion, sincerity, and the courage to take the first step can open unexpected doors.
Behind every article on Flemingo Routes are countless hours of research, fact-checking, writing, editing, and learning. There were days when the website had zero visitors, and moments when progress felt almost invisible. Yet every article became another step towards building a travel resource that people could trust.
Today, that effort has been rewarded in a small but meaningful way.
The Malabar River Festival article has reached Google Page 1.
For many, it may be just another search result.
For me, it is a reminder that consistency, patience, and genuine storytelling can find their place.
This is not the destination.
It is simply another route waiting to be explored.
